7 Great Honeymoon Tips:
Compliments of: www.yourweddingkit.com
1. Always plan your budget for your honeymoon in advanced. A
well prepared plan on financial spendings on areas such as
hotel accommodation, transportation, meals, shopping and
entertainment will help on the long run as to how you will
be spending your time too. It is recommended that you plan
your budget with your mate and write it down in a piece of
paper. Chances are, the awareness of your written budget
will hopefully prevent you from overspending on your
honeymoon.
2. Your honeymoon only comes once in a lifetime, spending a
little bit more should not be a problem. Perhaps venturing
into new ideas of celebrating your honeymoon or pushing
everything up a notch would be a great start. A hotel room
upgrade, an excursion to an exotic and secluded location or
you can even try extreme activities such as bungee jumping,
sky diving, as long your budget permits. If you're planning
to cut down on the expenses however, an all-in-one package
will be the best value. Everything from your flights
straight to your food and entertainments are included.
3. Always try to get the best travel agent as possible.
Whatever you will be doing during the course of your
honeymoon is generally controlled and prepared by the chosen
travel agent. With that being said, always be specific of
your needs and never hesitate to ask questions about
anything you wish to know. Questions can involve from
transportation right up to hotel reservations. If you feel
uncomfortable with anything, the time to change is before,
not when you're in a cab going to a place to stay which you
don't even know. There's no room for taking chances.
4. Excitement is all over the place. Try to be romantic and
creative with the things you bring to your honeymoon.
Scented candles, favorite musics, massage oils, special hand
made presents, lingeries, heart-shaped chocolates, etc. The
more surprises you have the better. It is a good idea to
list down your important items to bring for your honeymoon
and pack them few days or weeks in advance. Realizing that
you are missing a few items and trying to get them on the
very last minute is something that you should avoid at all
cost.
5. Give yourself ample time to rest during your wedding
night. Booking an early flight the next morning is not
recommended as missing it is the last thing you want to do.
Sometimes you just can't avoid having a odd flight schedule,
but if you have the option of getting on the plane on a
slightly later time, that would be the best bet.
6. It is always a good idea to equipped yourself with a
travel insurance, covering cases of sickness or death, as
well as any failure or malfunctioning plans by the tour
operator.
7. Keeping the memories. Get a couple of disposable cameras
if you're worried that your expensive camera might lose its
way halfway through your honeymoon. Having a few additional
ones shouldn't hurt as understandably as it is, that you
will be trigger happy most of the time. Certain locations
might have a standby professional photographer for you to
hire to capture those special moments.
